Do you think rogue judges become activists on their own? Meet the Federal Judicial Center (FJC). Who is the JFC you ask? Well, they are the federal agency just caught red-handed quietly indoctrinating judges under the guise of “scientific education”. Let’s break down how a rogue judge is not only made, but encouraged by the system!

Created by Congress in 1967, the FJC is the official research & education agency for the federal judiciary. They write the Benchbook for U.S. District Court Judges & run mandatory orientation for every new federal judge in America. When judges need guidance, they trust the FJC.

In early 2026, the smoke temporarly parted and we caught a glimpse of what they genuinely stood for. The FJC prepared to release the 4th Edition of its Reference Manual on Scientific Evidence, featuring a new “Climate Science” guide. Surprise, surprise, the authors were activist litigators advising plaintiffs suing energy companies in federal court.

On Jan 29, 2026, 27 State AGs (led by WV AG John McCuskey) caught them. The AGs proved the FJC was placing “a thumb on the scale” of active lawsuits, handing judges activist talking points disguised as “neutral science.” The AGs didn’t stop there and 22 total AGs petitioned Congress to open a formal investigation into the FJC & audit their funding. Faced with congressional defunding, the FJC folded.

On Feb 6, 2026, the FJC officially STRUCK the climate chapter from the manual.

By June 2026, 23 Blue State AGs sent a panicking letter demanding the FJC restore the chapter.

Why would blue states want tainted data? Perhaps because activists know that capturing the FJC means capturing federal rulings before a case even reaches trial.

This is the hidden mechanics of judicial activism: Activists fail in state legislatures.
Activists capture the FJC’s training manuals.
Newly appointed judges rely on captured manuals.
Rogue rulings follow.

This vicious cycle continues and we find ourselves in the mess we’re in now. Judicial accountability isn’t just about calling out bad rulings on the bench… It ALSO means we must audit the institutional apparatus training the bench.
