Tell Us What Problem You Are Trying to Solve

NLI begins with the problem, record, forum, and work product—not with a predetermined package.

An inquiry does not create an attorney-client relationship or commit NLI to accept the matter.

Include

  • a concise description of the problem;
  • current or expected forum;
  • jurisdiction;
  • known deadlines;
  • counsel or professional-adviser status;
  • what has already been filed, sent, agreed, or published;
  • the outcome or work product you need;
  • the core record, if available;
  • adverse facts, prior rulings, and procedural obstacles;
  • confidentiality or privilege constraints.

Do not send sealed, privileged, highly sensitive, or time-critical material through the general form until NLI confirms a secure and appropriate intake method.

What Happens Next

  1. NLI reviews the inquiry for urgency, fit, conflict, capacity, and professional boundaries.
  2. If appropriate, NLI proposes a fit review or requests additional information.
  3. Substantive work begins only after written scope, responsibilities, fee, confidentiality, and boundaries are agreed.
