Division of Responsibility
NLI constructs and tests the matter. Counsel retains legal advice, representation, privilege, strategy, preservation, filing authority, advocacy, and professional responsibility. Courts and authorized institutions decide and order remedy. Clients remain responsible for truthful records, deadlines, and decisions to use the work.
