Education
Education in Decision Science
Learn to make disagreement answerable. NLI education transfers the competence to construct, test, falsify, classify, limit, and correct claims in unfamiliar legal and institutional matters.
Two Educational Properties
The applied site and the Academy serve related but different educational purposes.
Choose the property that matches the depth, audience, and form of education you need.
Applied education
NaturalLawInstitute.com
Matter-facing and institution-facing training connected to NLI’s applied method, professional responsibilities, services, and public work.
- Legal and professional training
- Institutional briefings and workshops
- Applied decision-science methods
The NLI Academy
NaturalLawInstitute.org
The separate Academy property for the broader curriculum, deeper theory, courses, conferences, and continuing study.
- Foundational and advanced curriculum
- Courses, conferences, and longer study
- Theory beyond the applied-practice site
Who the Training Is For
Programs are scoped to the responsibility participants must actually perform.
The same foundations support different applications. Audience, prerequisites, examples, professional boundaries, and assessment must be explicit before delivery.
Legal and professional practitioners
You organize records, isolate controlling questions, test claims, preserve disagreement, or use NLI instruments within your own professional authority.
Institutional and civic actors
You are responsible for governance, public accountability, policy consequence, settlement, institutional correction, or the administration of conflict.
Researchers and students
You study operational language, evidence, causality, reciprocity, adjudication, natural law, economics, institutions, and cooperation.
Organizations and educators
You are a law firm, civic organization, governance body, professional group, or teaching institution seeking a defined transfer of competence.
What Competence Is Transferred
The object is reproducible performance—not familiarity with NLI’s vocabulary or agreement with its conclusions.
A participant should be able to use the method on an unfamiliar record, expose the basis of the result, accept lawful defeat or limitation, and recompute when a material condition changes.
Competence
Preserve the question
State one material proposition and keep its meanings, scope, conditions, authority, and burden stable through criticism.
The participant can identify when a restatement has silently changed the question being tested.
Competence
Construct the record
Separate fact from allegation and expose the evidence, meanings, authority, burdens, causal operation, consequences, remedy, and limits required by a claim.
The participant can show which dependency carries the answer and which missing item prevents a stronger conclusion.
Competence
Test and classify
Declare possible falsifiers, test material alternatives, and return the strongest classification the declared record warrants.
The participant can distinguish a warranted claim, a false claim, a presently undecidable claim, and a claim undecidable in principle.
Competence
Limit, correct, and recompute
Recognize contradiction, missing evidence, professional or institutional limits, and superior constructions without moving the question or protecting authorship.
The participant changes the result when material evidence, authority, meaning, constraint, operation, or consequence changes.
Instructional Formats
The format follows the audience, the competence to be transferred, and the performance that must be assessed.
Every offering should state what it covers and who teaches it (scope and faculty), what you need and receive (prerequisites, materials, and delivery method), and how it is evaluated and bounded (assessment, professional limits, and accreditation status).
Seminars and briefings
Focused instruction for introducing a method, clarifying a shared institutional problem, or preparing a group for deeper applied work.
Workshops and practicums
Guided construction and adversarial testing of records, claims, controlling questions, institutional failures, settlements, or governance problems.
Courses and Academy study
Longer sequences for foundations, legal and institutional application, deeper theory, continuing study, and demonstrated performance across unfamiliar material.
How Competence Is Assessed
Completion requires inspectable performance—not attendance, confidence, vocabulary, or ideological agreement.
Assessment must fit the declared objective. A presentation can test recognition; applied competence requires construction and defense on an unfamiliar record.
Construction
Can the participant state the claim, conditions, operation, authority, evidence, and limits without importing the desired answer?
Adversarial testing
Can the participant identify a material falsifier, answer contrary evidence, and distinguish refutation from lawful limitation?
Classification
Can the participant return no stronger result than the record warrants and identify exactly why a stronger result fails?
Correction
Can the participant accept defeat, preserve the question, and recompute the result when a material dependency changes?
What Training Transfers, and What It Does Not
Training transfers demonstrable competence in constructing, testing, limiting, and correcting claims. It does not create licensure, accreditation, legal representation, or authority to act for a court, client, institution, or regulated profession.
Where continuing-education credit or another credential is relevant, its status must be stated explicitly. NLI will not imply accreditation that has not been granted.
Education inquiry
Define the audience and the competence they must demonstrate.
An education inquiry should identify the intended audience, prior knowledge, participant count, desired format, timing, assessment requirement, and any institution-specific adaptation. Do not submit privileged, sealed, classified, or otherwise restricted matter material through an initial inquiry.
