I have to unblock people pretty frequently. And that’s for a variety of reasons:
- – PRESUMPTIVE: Given the vast number of ignorant arrogant shit-for-brains on the right, and the amout of time those attention-seekers waste, it’s very easy to MISINTERPRET your comments or posts.
- – PISSING: Given the number of ignorant, arrogant, lazy shit for brains on the right, they tend to piss on conversations that are over their heads, or about some nuance that they don’t care about.
- – APPROPRIATING: Given each of has a bias and a ‘mission’ that we want to draw attention to, some people try to ‘stomp on’ and ‘turn the post’s discussion’ to satisfy their objectives rahter than the one being pursued by the author of theh post.
- – COSTLY ARGUING: Given some people are so far off the mark so consistently it’s just cheaper to block them and keep the conversation on track.
- – AD HOMINEN: Given the nature of our subject matter it often results in ignorant, arrogant, lazy, shit-for-brains, personalie the argument and attack the author, or start attacking near allies rather than the enemy.
I unban people. Most of us will unban people if they understand what they did. Almost every time I ban someone they DO recall what it is that they said. And it’s almost always hitting the return key before thinking about what emerged from their fingertips.
Ergo: it’s better to be silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
