Policy: Institute Decorum

REMINDER FOR ALL: INSTITUTE DECORUM
(we’ve added new people to the team)

We develop and teach the natural law of decidability, testimony, reciprocity, and cooperation for the purpose of ending the current crisis made possible by industrial, technological, and medical modernity, the wealth that has resulted, in our decreased interdependence, increased alienation because of it, and search for different commons and therefore polities given those new opportunities for non-adaptation, fulfillment of our instincts, and to sedate those resulting alienations because of our increased independence.

1. WHAT’S OUR JOB?
Our job is to write Constitutions, Legislation, Policy, Defenses, Prosecutions, and Judgements of Natural Law by tests of self determination, sovereignty, reciprocity, truth, duty, excellence and beauty, by explaining how individual and group behavior and claims vary (or not) from that universal natural law.

In other words, we judge whether people are engagine in crimes – or not – especially crimes against the commons, whether physical, formal institutional, or informal institutional. And then we state the severity of the crime, and the restitution that would be necessary given the crime.

Most people advocate for crimes that suit them at the expense of others. Because we humans evolved to negotiate preferences in trade, not discover objective truths independent of our preferences.

We have four means of doing that job:

(a) Research and Development

(b) Recruiting

(c) Education

(d) Legal And Political Activism

2. DECORUM (SELF CENSORSHIP)

There are four categories of inappropriate to appropriate content in public discourse – especially on public platforms where we can all hear one another.

  1. Decorum: Manners
  2. Content: Soft (Immoral, Ethical), Medium(degenerate), Firm(Threatening), and Hard (Criminal) Violations
  3. Position: Bias in Discursive Content
  4. Measurements of the truth, bias, and falshood in discursive content.

Our goal is to avoid all participation in violations of decorm or content, and to hold the value neutral position of the natural law applied to the context of the question or conflict at hand. … EDUCATE and or CORRECT disinformation.

The Four Catgories:

2.1. DECORUM: MANNERS
Maintain judicial decorum and state the facts. So avoid dismissivness, innuendo, cursing, slang, slurs, invective, provocation, accusation, and in particular heated arguments that bait you and others into hazard of violating decorum.

And if you encounter it from others, without exception, just ignore, mute, or block the individual instead. Do not engage with those who violate decorum.

This can be difficult because all humans instinctually and involuntarily react with altruistic punishment when they percieve a moral violation or threat. Developing control over that instinct and resisting it, sufficiently to simply illustrate the crime being pursued requires effort and training.

So avoid moral outrage provoked by the instinct for altruistic punishment by sticking to explanation by construction of causes and biases and their violations of reciproicty which are the only means of satisfying coincidences of wants across different animal instincts, and informal and formal institutional habits, norms, and traditions.

2.2.X – REFORMATION, REVOLT, REVOLUTION:

2.3. POSITION: BIAS

The Origin of All Bias, Offenses, and Altruistic Punishment Responses.

(a) All differences in bias originate in the genetic and biological distribution of sex differences in preferential, moral, and political bias between the masculine systematizing, intertemporal, hypercapitalizing, responsible for commons, and feminine empathizing, temporal, hyperconsumptive, and evading responsibility for commons.

(b) Genetic and biological sex differences in sensation, perception, cognition, prediction, valence (value), preference, demand – our biases – cause a market for satisfaction of the coincidences of wants. While satisfaction of wants becomes cheaper at scale, possibility of agreement on coincidences of wants diverges at scale. As such there is a demand for

(c) While masculine distribution of preferential, moral, and political bias is even across the moral intuitions of caretaking, fairness(reciprocity vs proportionality), liberty (Freedom to vs From), hierarchy (vs egalitarianism), loyalty(vs devotion), and purity(vs deviancy), the female distribution of preferential, moral and political biases is concentrated in caretaking. For this reason the masculine can understand the feminine and consider the feminine faulty, but the femine cannot comprehend the masculine as other than punitive. Why? Differences in Responsibility between the distributed masculine (society, economy, and polity) and the concentrated feminine (offspring),

RACE
Institute Decorum prohibits blanket statements against races and subraces on genetic means, rather than their habits, norms, traditions, religions, metaphysics, group strategies of their cultures, their stage of development, or consequences of their demographic distributions.

All human populations evolved a group evolutionary strategy in a given geography, with given resources, competitors, institutional sequence, and demographic distributions. And all are somewhat anchored in that time of their formation.

Meanwhile, modernity drags people and their formal and informal institutions out of that anchoring, and it’s hard for all. Europeans did it over between a thousand and four hundred years – depending upon where you start counting. Other groups are trying to make even greater leaps forward in decades to centuries – without our advantages.

And yes, despite the postwar pseudoscientific attack on Darwinian evolution and sex, class, and race differences, there are well-understood differences between the races that are as significant as differences between other related species. These differences are universally expressed whenever the scale of the population permits, because of simple affinity of appearance, behavior, and instinct.

However, we can all cooperate across polities even if our differences create conflict within polities. Humans are marginally indifferent in our ability to cooperate particularly by trade. And peace, harmony, cooperation, and prosperity are relatively easy to produce regardless of our differences.

And, none of us is without sin so to speak.

The Institute has as much interest in advancing the interests of the rest of mankind as it does the Anglosphere and Eurosphere.

VOICE: SPEAK FOR YOURSELF, AND DO NOT SPEAK FOR THE INSTITUTE

Every member of the organization speaks for himself, and his interest in the organization, and not for the organization.

Positions and Policies vs Concepts and Methods

Any and all position statements about the organization must and may only be made by the organization.

In other words, the externally facing text on this site contains the institutute’s position and policy. And there is no other and no other should be claimed. Ergo, always repeat, cite, quote or point to the site content rather than your interpretation or opinion. If there is a question defer to Curt Doolittle (@CurtDoolittle) or Brandon Hayes (@ThruTheHayes) on Twitter.

You should do your best to explain any concept or method to the best of your ability. But whenever uncertain defer to Martin(“@The Autistocrat”), Gabriel (“@Turbo”), Jacob (@Contrafabianist), or Luke (@LukeWeinhagen) on Twitter.

Why?

  1. The institute’s program is huge, and it’s too easy to miscommunicate, misrepresent, or mislead the audience by stating your understanding given your context and interests. We must speak in one voice on institute policy so we don’t confuse or harm our interests with conflicting or easily misinterpreted statements.
  2. The knowledge of the faculty members varies, because we all have different interests, all contribute at different levels of detail, and some members are extraordinarly deep on some concepts and less so on others. So we defer to one another given our specializations.
