Why Do Americans Buy So Many Pick Ups? In Europe, Hardly Anybody Has Them And I Personally Could Not Think Of Much That Cannot Be More Conveniently Transported In A Van Or A Similar Vehicle.

Um. Overlay the map of the united states on the map of europe.
Germany and the netherlands are extremely dense places.
Americans are responsible for more ‘commons’ and more ‘property’ than germans.
Shops are awfully far away.
Many of our men are independent businessmen (contractors).
Many of our people have farms.
Trucks can ‘go anywhere’, and we have a large country with much inclement weather.
And honestly, it’s an extremely comfortable ride with high visibility, and once you are comfortable with it – it’s hard to give it up.
They’re relatively cheap.
They don’t depreciate as much as cars.
That’s why.
